환경운동연합, '2006 환경인 상' 선정 및 시상

(서울=뉴스와이어) 2007년02월01일-- 1991년 첫 환경인 상을 시상한 이래 올해로 16회를 맞는 <환경운동연합> 선정 『환경인 상』은, 녹색시민상, 녹색문화예술인상, 녹색언론인상, 녹색공무원상, 녹색정치인상, 녹색기업인상 등 총 6개 부문에서 시상하는데, 올해 『2006 환경인 상』은 4개 부문을 시상한다.

지난해 연말부터 올 초까지 추천을 받아 심사한 결과, 올해에는 4개 분야(녹색시민상, 녹색언론인상, 녹색정치인상, 녹색기업인상)에서 수상자가 선정되었다. 풀뿌리 환경운동의 현장을 지키는 이웃, 취재의 현장에서 생명평화의 가치를 설파하는 언론인, 녹색공동체와 친환경 정책을 펼치는 정치인, 녹색경영과 사회적 책임을 다하는 기업인 등 생명을 지키는 우리 시대의 녹색시민들이다.

녹색시민상은 새만금 계화도 주민이면서 갯벌배움터 <그레>를 운영하고 있는 고은식님이 선정되었다. 2006년 7월 임의적인 배수갑문 조작으로 인해 갯벌에서 불의의 사고로 아내 류기화님을 잃는 등 힘겨운 삶을 살면서도 새만금에 대한 희망과 열정을 버리지 않는 분이시다.

녹색언론인상은 박수택 SBS 환경전문기자님이 선정되었다. 환경기사가 급속하게 줄어드는 추세에도 불구하고, 사회 곳곳의 환경문제를 지속적으로 제기하는가 하면, 기획-발굴취재로 2006년 한 해 열정적으로 환경현안의 현장을 뛰어다닌 분이시다.

녹색정치인상은 이철우 前국회의원께서 선정되었다. 건교부의 한탄강댐 추진에 맞서 8년 동안 반대운동을 이끌며 <댐반대국민행동>의 집행위원장을 맡아, 전국적인 댐반대운동을 주도하고 한탄강 보존과 강살리기운동에 노력을 아끼지 않는 분이시다.

녹색기업인상은 에코샵홀씨(주)의 양경모 대표이사께서 선정되었다. 환경교육의 체험교육교재 및 교구 시장이 거의 전무한 열악한 상황에서도, 지난 5년여 동안 지속적인 연구개발과 투자를 해 오셨고, 다양한 환경교육컨설팅 및 프로그램 개발을 통해 환경교육의 발전에 크게 기여했다. 특히 양경모 대표이사는 10년 넘게 시민환경지도자로 활동하며 현장교육 발전에도 기여하고 계신다.
